Meeting the Challenge: Stephen Kahng of Power Computing.

When opportunity for third-party manufacturers to make a splash in
the Macintosh market finally arrived in late 1993 Stephen Kahng and
a partner went about trying to convince Apple to grant them the rights
to clone their prized possession. At first, Apple was wary of working
with a start-up, if it were not that Kahng's sensational record and obvious intelligence
impressed Apple's executives. They awarded the 45-year-old Korean
American the first-ever license to duplicate the Macintosh.
